sgknsdg THIS IS ACTUALLY A THING THAT HAPPENS, THOUGH. Tales crossovers are HUGELY popular: there are the panTales games made solely for that purpose (this icon is from one), there are cameos, there are comics addressing what would happen if certain characters from one game switched into another. So I will not cheat and mention Richter's arcs in those other games (I haven't played any of Milla's yet) and will instead go by Things.

Richter would do really well in Tales of Vesperia, because the main antagonist has a very similar narrative role and arc. The difference is mainly that Vesperia's antagonist has a much more satisfying conclusion (to me) because the game acknowledges what was done to him and the role the protagonists have in perpetuating a harmful cycle. He's culpable for his actions, but the sympathy that the game creates for him isn't wasted— Richter's story is a fucking feelings massacre steeped in what is essentially (though I'm not sure the game realizes it) a narrative about how being part of a discriminated underclass meant that Richter couldn't be the hero or save the world even though that's his ultimate goal. His endings are all basically >RICHTER GIVES THE FUCK UP ON WINNING EVER AND ALSO POSSIBLY ON LIFE.

In Vesperia, the antagonist is allowed to reach a moment where it's possible for him to go on with his life, and he does! And I would like that kind of narrative respect for Richter, so yes. I think he'd do really well there with all of his baggage. uwu

Milla… Milla's more difficult, because she's actually the protagonist. I've seen some people compare Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World's narrative to Tales of Xillia (in that they have some similar themes protagonist-wise), but… eh, I'm not going to say that. Instead, I'm going to go with Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3, because I would love to have seen her in a Radiant Mythology game. Not because I think anything special would happen; I just selfishly want her to interact with all the characters ever and RM3 has a huge cast and balances it well. Plus I think it would be fun to have her in a setting where she doesn't take over from the other protagonists but instead exists alongside them.

I know nothing about Touhou except that it's a series of fighting games or something? I'm really curious about it and Yuyuko's role in canon.
